NMCN Learn is the official digital learning platform of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). It is designed to provide structured, accessible, and high-quality online learning for both student nurses and midwives as well as licensed professionals. The platform supports pre-service education and in-service continuous professional development (CPD), helping users stay updated on current practices, emerging innovations, and regulatory standards in nursing and midwifery.

The platform is intended for two main user groups: students enrolled in accredited nursing and midwifery training institutions, and licensed nurses and midwives currently practicing in Nigeria. Educators, clinical instructors, and administrative stakeholders may also be granted access to support and manage learning delivery.

Students are typically registered through their institutions and will use their matriculation or registration numbers to log in. Licensed professionals can log in using their NMCN license number and the email address associated with their professional records. If you have not received login credentials or are having trouble accessing the platform, you should contact your school administrator, state NMCN coordinator, or the platform’s technical support team.

Courses on the platform cover a wide range of clinical and professional topics. These include modules on maternal and newborn health innovations such as the postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) bundle, intravenous iron therapy, multiple micronutrient supplementation (MMS), and intrapartum azithromycin. In addition, users can access modules on professional ethics, supervision and risk management, leadership, digital literacy, emergency response, and other priority areas for nurses and midwives.

Yes. The NMCN Learn platform is completely free to all eligible users. Both students and professionals can access courses, participate in trainings, complete assessments, and receive certificates at no cost, as part of the Council’s commitment to equitable and continuous learning for the nursing and midwifery community.

Yes, the platform is designed to be mobile-friendly and accessible on smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers. Select course content can also be downloaded when internet is available and accessed offline later, allowing users in low-connectivity environments to continue learning without interruption.

No. Upon successful completion of a course and its associated assessments, learners will receive a digital badge issued by NMCN. These badges may also include CPD credit points for licensed professionals, and in some cases, contribute to academic records for students.
